Commodity Specialist - Supply Chain

We are currently seeking a talented Commodity Specialist to join our team at Allegion México. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support in supplier activities and reporting for various commodities such as Packaging, Fasteners, Machined Parts, Powdered Metals, and Springs. Your main tasks will include supporting Allegion operating systems, gathering and reviewing part drawings and specifications, conducting RFIs and RFQs with suppliers, validating commodity spend, and compiling supplier financial/performance analysis for negotiations.

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong background in procurement sourcing, consulting, buyer, and/or analyst experience. You should also possess excellent data analytics skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office products (especially MS Excel and PowerPoint), and a strong commitment to continuous improvement and delivering results. Additionally, you should have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.

This position requires the ability to travel up to 10% of the time. As a Commodity Specialist, you will be working closely with international teams, so it is important that you are a dependable team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills. Preferred qualifications for this role include experience in Packaging, Fasteners, and/or Machined Parts, strong problem-solving skills and methods, and familiarity with supply chain tools such as MRP and GEP.
